We were owners first
Viveca Bachrach and Hans Hoetink, Idilio’s founders, began by welcoming guests to their summer house in the Sierra de Gredos. Little by little, friends with homes just as special asked them to look after theirs too, and a collection took shape, built on trust and on a shared way of seeing a home: a love of beauty, design and character.

Today Idilio brings together some of the most beautiful homes in Spain, from a cortijo looking out over the Serranía de Ronda to a village house in Mallorca. Each home is carefully chosen for its character and personality, and with every owner we keep a close relationship that we look after for years. If you feel your home is just as special, it may well have a place in the collection.

Our main channel is Airbnb, the world’s largest platform for renting homes, where we have one of the best positioned profiles and strongest track records in Spain: we are Superhosts, with more than 1,500 reviews gathered over twelve years and an average of 4.9 out of 5. Vrbo adds to that, and above all our new website, where more and more guests book directly with us.

Some owners have been with Idilio for more than ten years, and that trust is what we work for every day. We take care of everything, from the first enquiry to the final review, alongside your team at the house. Every guest is carefully chosen, and no booking is confirmed without your approval. And we’re always there: every day of the year, in English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch and Italian.
Your home, shown at its best
Every Idilio home gets its own professional marketing strategy, built around what makes it special. Before it goes live, we photograph and film it, from the air too, and write its story, at no cost to you. Then we put it in front of the right guests, through our website, the major booking platforms and social media such as Instagram and TikTok.
